Rugby League World Cup 2017

In 2017, the supreme Rugby League players from across the globe will all be descending upon Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea to compete for the sport’s most coveted prize - The Rugby League World Cup - from 27th Oct to 2nd Dec 2017.

The Teams

14 teams will gather together for a sporting festival without compare: Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, England, France Samoa, Fiji, Scotland, Tonga, Lebanon, USA, Wales, Ireland, and Italy.

The Nations will be all psyched up, to compete at the very highest level against both familiar and not so familiar opponents. It promises to be a feast of rugby and a sporting occasion to best others that have preceded it.

The Cities

The games will take place in thirteen cities across the three countries; seven in Australia, five in New Zealand and also in Port Moresby the capital of Papua New Guinea.

Taking the vast distances into consideration, most fans will look at the fixtures and choose a country to base themselves, that will feature their home team’s matches.

If you are an England fan then Australia is certainly where you want to be, Melbourne hosts the opening game of the 2017 World Cup with two of the hot  favourites facing off  as the mighty Australians take on the strongly improving England outfit.

England’s other two group games take them to Sydney on the 4th November to play rank outsiders Lebanon. Whilst on November 12th, England travel to Perth for a tricky match to possibly qualify for the Quarter Finals against France.

Arriving at Tullamarine Airport in Melbourne in October, an England fan would have been well advised to have pre-booked both transportation and accommodation. Experienced group transportation companies such as Coach Hire Coach Hire will be all geared up to service the Rugby World Cup. And with coverage all over Australia, Coach Hire Coach Hire have the local knowledge to provide excellent service to both stadiums and hotels.

If you are travelling as part of a group, it is feasible you may like to have a coach charter to take you from one match to another, stopping along the way to admire local tourist attractions, golf courses, other sporting events etc.

The major cities and country towns of Australia offer wide ranges of accommodation suitable to every budget. From 5-star luxury hotels to comfortable country lodges, Australia can cater for every taste imaginable.

However, during October, November and December accommodation will be dearly hard to come by as many Rugby enthusiasts from all over the world will be following their teams around Australia from match to match.

The simple advice is to book all your transport and accommodation ahead of your visit.

Partnering with a reputable travel supplier such as Coach Hire Coach Hire could well be the best solution as their friendly and local staff can give advice on where to stay and the best places to eat and drink.
