Small Group Tours In Adelaide – Barossa Valley Wine Tasting Tour

The Hunter Valley wine growing area may be older but it was the Barossa Valley northeast of Adelaide that well and truly put Australian wine on the great wine lists of the world. The rolling hills with their dry loamy, gravel soils combined with the dry Mediterranean climate are ideal for growing wine grapes.

The Barossa produces some truly superb wines and with plenty of cellar doors, cheese tasting experiences and other culinary delights, a small group tour from Adelaide to this region makes for a truly memorable day out.

Small Group Tours In Adelaide – Historic Hahndorf

Many of the earliest settlers in Adelaide were German and today this is reflected in the names of some of the towns in the area. Like Hahndorf, Australia’s oldest still surviving German settlement. Hahndorf is 28 kilometres to the south east of Adelaide and makes for a great small group tour in Adelaide.

It’s a very popular tourist destination and when you consider the range of activities on offer, it’s very easy to see why. There are a number of wildlife parks, sanctuaries and conservation reserves in the area including Warrawong Sanctuary and Mylor Conservation Park. The Mount Lofty Botanic Garden is another great place to visit in Hahndorf.

Explore the boutiques, restaurants, German pubs, souvenir shops and other offerings within Hahndorf itself or visit the Cedars where the studios and artwork of Sir Hans Heysen can be found. Or do what many other visitors do and indulge in the wine tasting tours produced by Adelaide Hills vineyards.
