Group Camping Tours Adelaide – Talia Caves
The Eyre Peninsula in South Australia is possibly one of the most beautiful places in Australia. With soaring sandstone cliffs weathered into unique formations, the isolated sandy beaches and towering dunes stretch for kilometres in either direction.
Situated along this stretch of coastline are a couple of caves called The Tub and The Woolshed that are well worth visiting. They’ve been etched out of the sandstone cliffs by centuries of pounding waves. Conveniently close by is the Talia Caves camping ground.
Talia Caves is remote, basic and ideal for those who love bush camping in all its primitive glory. You’ll need to bring everything with you though as there are no amenities or water. The campsite is 2 hours north of Port Lincoln or 2 hours south of Ceduna depending on which way you’re travelling.

Five hours north of Adelaide is the Flinders Ranges National Park. Situated inside the park you’ll find the Wilpena Pound campground / resort and the Wilpena Park caravan park. Either makes for a great group camping destination from Adelaide.
The Wilpena Pound campground offers a range of accommodation including a safari resort, luxury tents, and pitch your own sites (powered and unpowered). Meals are available at the resort or you can cook your own.
Treks to the ridge top for views out over the national park are popular, as are the scenic flights over the area.

Right at the bottom of the Yorke Peninsula 3 hours drive from Adelaide is the Innes National Park, a place where the cliffs are dramatic, the beaches perfect, and the surf exceptional. It’s also isolated. Very isolated. And a great place to explore without having to worry about bumping into anyone else, or being sociable.
The Cable Bay campground here is a perfect place to pitch your tents. If you angle them the right way you can look out at amazing sun rises over Southern Spencer Gulf Marine Park.
Close by are the ghostly remnants of historic Inneston, which invite exploration. However, it’s the surfing that attracts most campers to this part of the world.

With over 20 camping and caravan parks, the Limestone Coast in southeastern South Australia is a mecca for camping enthusiasts. And for good reason. The area boasts spectacular coastal landscapes, great vineyards, old red gum trees, excellent surfing, great beaches and memorable bush camping experiences.
However, probably one of the most varied camping sites to head to in terms of things to do and see is the Canunda National Park. With its diverse coastal landscapes and inland native bushlands, campers can occupy themselves doing a range of things from surfing, fishing and swimming to exploring native bushland. All up there are around half a dozen camping sites within the park. Some are accessible only by 4WD but others can be reached by standard vehicles.
